Workshop Provision

Workshops are uniquely tailored to organizations objectives and needs. Some examples of prior training opportunities includes:

For Police Services:
  • Police Coach officer training - prepares coach officers with information required to best prepare and support the new recruits they work with. 
  • Victim Liaison Officer training - prepares community/victim liaison officers with ways to support community members they are involved in long term.
  • Before Operational Stress - training for police, fire and paramedic new recruits to ensure they have information they need to have longevity in their career and stay well.
  • Family Support Session after a significant critical incident - provided to assist family after officer involved shootings or death.
For Paramedic Services:
  • Community Paramedic mental health training - a course that addresses the unique challenges that come with being a community paramedic.
  • Paramedic Supervisor Training - provides supervisors and acting supervisors with necessary information to lead effectively, and identify risks and solutions to mental health challenges in their teams.
For Fire Services:
  • Fire Officer and Acting Officer training - a program that assists fire leaders to identify risks in crews, and intervene appropriately.
  • Suicide - how can Firefighters help with suicide challenges in the community
For Cities, Municipalities, and other Community Services:
  • Leadership Training for Better Mental Health Outcomes - workshop provision for leaders to support staff in various areas (i.e. Recreation, Culture, Long-term care homes)
  • Workplace Trauma support - information for cities and municipalities in the importance of leading by being responsive and trauma informed to deal effectively with critical incidents.
For groups of clinicians:
  • Treatment for Nightmares - Dreams & Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) for Nightmares typically see in Frontline personnel and those struggling with trauma. This brief seminar prepares clinicians to deliver IRT. Includes a sample case study.
  • Moral Injury Treatment - a training for clinicians working with first responders and front-line personnel. This seminar provides knowledge regarding moral injury and typical complicating dynamics that evolve in first responders. A treatment intervention is also reviewed.
