REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST (full-time / part-time)

Psychology Matters is a well-established practice providing psychological and psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and couples. Our clinicians have expertise in a wide range of treatment approaches for a diversity of problems. A large portion of our clientele is first responders.
We offer, training, peer support, supervision, and EMDR consultation - all in a collegial and stimulating environment. We are committed to helping our associates grow in their roles and responsibilities in the practice. Associates are supervised by clinical psychologists, and senior registered psychotherapists.

Psychologists and Psychological Associates in Supervised Practice with the CPO are welcome to apply. We are also interested in speaking to Psychologists with established practices who are interested in joining our team. Registered Psychological Associates and Psychologists will be compensated at a higher rate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to develop appropriate therapeutic goals alongside client, in collaboration with clinical team supervisor.
- Participate in clinical consultation with peers and group supervision.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and attend trainings.
- Option to provide training, and group interventions for first responders, and other allied healthcare professionals via a manualized intervention program
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of MA level education and training in psychology, or social work
- A successful candidate is a member of a regulatory body identified as able to deliver psychotherapy services in Ontario (e.g. College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Nurses of Ontario, College of Psychologists of Ontario).
- experience delivering intervention on a secure video platform, and comfort working with a variety of computer programs.
- 3-5 years of clinical/treatment experience working with clients with diversified presenting concerns.
- Experience with a best practice trauma intervention, such as EMDR, CPT, Prolonged Exposure an asset
- Those with experience with trauma intervention and/or experience working with first responder populations are welcome

Salary:
Associates will be compensated on a per session basis. All costs for supervision, consultation, rent, administrative assistance, office supplies, and other logistical costs are covered by Psychology Matters.
