Jody Hicks, is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 16 years of extensive clinical experience in the field of mental health and wellness. She began her career in Wilderness Therapy and has since practiced across a wide range of settings, including immediate support and crisis services, community-based addictions programs, academic institutions supporting graduate-level students, and private practice.
Previously, Jody served as a Clinical Supervisor and Manager, where she provided clinical supervision and oversight of specialized mental health programs, including services tailored for first responders. In this leadership role, she ensured quality of care, supported professional growth, and fostered excellence in trauma-informed practice.
Her therapeutic orientation is grounded in trauma-informed care and integrates a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR therapist), body-centered approaches, Emotion-Focused Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and contemplative interventions. She also draws on transpersonal psychology, developmental awareness, and creative exploration to meet the unique needs of each client.
Jody is especially skilled in working with complex cases and is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and integrative path toward healing and resilience.
