Laura Kennedy, M.Sc., M.Psy.

Psychological Associate (supervised practice)


Laura is an individual therapist and psychometrist who holds an M.Sc from Trent University and an M.Psy from Adler Graduate Professional School and is eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

As a therapist Laura works with adolescents and adults who are struggling with emotional distress, anxiety, life transitions, identity, depression, trauma and loss. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy and applies a wide range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She also incorporates other techniques, such as mindfulness, relaxation, and motivational interviewing, depending on the needs and preferences of each client. Laura is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, cope with stress, and achieve their goals.

As a psychometrist Laura has experience in administering and scoring various assessments for children, adolescents and adults. She has conducted testing for academic, psychological, and WSIB purposes, using standardized instruments and procedures. Laura enjoys working with diverse populations and collaborating with other professionals.
