Critical Incident Response Program

Supporting First Responders Through Flexible, Evidence-Informed Critical Incident Care

Public safety organizations are increasingly seeking effective ways to support personnel following critical incidents - without the risks associated with traditional debriefing models like Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). Current research emphasizes the importance of timely, adaptable support that meets individual needs.

Our program offers a range of responsive options, allowing first responders to access care in the format and timeframe that suits them best. Services include:

  • Individual Debrief (ID): One-on-one support from trained trauma clinicians.
  • Group Critical Incident Response (Group-CIR): Facilitated group sessions to foster collective processing.
  • Family Interventions and Multi-Service Responses: Available for large-scale events involving injured or fallen members, ensuring comprehensive care across affected networks.

This flexible, trauma-informed approach empowers responders and their families to engage in recovery on their own terms, promoting resilience and long-term well-being.

The Critical Incident Response Program is only offered to organizations that are signed up for the Clinical Lead Program.
